Tučepi is the first place south of Makarska towards Dubrovnik, with somewhat less than 2000 inhabitants. After the earthquake of 1962, people left Gornje Tučepi at the foot of Mt. Biokovo and moved down by the sea where they founded a settlement that developed into one of the most vivid littoral towns of Makarska Riviera with one of the longest pebble beaches. Tučepi are one of the liveliest places of the Riviera, with numerous parties, plays and other cultural events. A nice paved promenade by the sea stretches along all of Tučepi. It is ideal for walks and biking. Tučepi offer land and houses with apartments for sale, and in the past several years there is also a very limited offer of apartments – extremely nice and modern properties by the sea.
